Make Life Skate Life Launches Fund To Support Lebanese Skaters

As most of us have seen, a few days ago a deadly explosion in the port of Beirut rocked the city. Skaters have been among the injured and have had their lives upended by what took place.

This catastrophe comes on top of economic, political, and social crisis that has made it nearly impossible to get basic skate necessities (bolts, grip tape, etc.) in the country. A board worth about $100 a few months ago now goes for around $550, which is insane.

Together with the skaters of Beirut, Make Life Skate Life, the non-profit working to create community-built skateparks around the world have launched a Skate Relief Fund to support Lebanese skaters.

The funds will help with two things. The first is gear, which will be bought from a local skateshop Extinct Skateboards.  The second is supporting skaters with medical expenses, reconstruction, and clean-up.
